Corey Williams
for
Common Council
District 3
Corey Williams
is a Democrat and a first time candidate running for Common Council in the new 3rd District of Syracuse. He is dedicated to improving the quality of life and fostering community spirit among the City’s residents.
Corey first moved to the University Neighborhood in 2006 as a graduate student in Public Administration at the Maxwell School of Syracuse University. Shortly after, he settled into the house on Buckingham Avenue where he and his partner Kira live with their dog, Livy.
Corey’s roots are on the West Side of Syracuse, reaching back to the 1870’s when his family first settled there. Although he was born in the suburbs, Corey has chosen to make his home in the city of Syracuse.
Corey was inspired to run for Common Council by his experience working in the Syracuse City School District, the community transformation that will come from the I-81 viaduct project, and the once-in-a-generation investment related to Micron’s arrival in our community.
